Call Accounting

Managing Reports:

 

CallAnalyst allows you to generate a report for calls made or received. This helps you to analyze call information in a useful manner. You can generate reports in graph or text format. By default you can view the report on the screen; you may also print or export a report.

 

CallAnalyst allows you to automatically generate reports for a particular day or time using a set of predefined call information. CallAnalyst allows you to e-mail, print or save the automatically generated reports to a file.

 

From the ‘Report Category’ pane, you would select the type of report that you want to generate. CallAnalyst has a set of reports for each report category. You may click the ‘Criteria’ button to specify the call records that you want to use for generating a report.

What is Call Accounting?

Phone systems provide call information including details such as call duration, direction (incoming or outgoing), date and time, and the extensions involved. This information is lost without call accounting. Call accounting is the process of tracking and reporting on call traffic from the phone system.

Call Accounting software captures, allocates and sometimes costs incoming or outgoing telephone usage. From this information, reports may be run to track and sort call statistics by extension, group or department. This can be in detailed or summary format. In addition to tracking and sorting extension usage, call accounting software can provide reports on line, trunk and circuit (in the case of a T1) usage to help companies better manage their local and long distance facility needs. Call accounting software may also be used to track the time spent on calls for bill back purposes; when the time spent on calls needs to be billed back to clients.
