To edit (record) system greetings, you must complete the following steps:

Contact Telecom Services of Iowa for directions on how to access voice mail ‘System Administration’….

From the System Administration menu select Option 1 to edit system prompts.

Prompt numbers are:

1001 -             Main Greeting

1002 -             Night Greeting

1003 -             Holiday

1004 -             Weather

1005 - 1009   Extra greetings

Record them by simply following the voice prompts given.

To change the mode (the greeting being played to callers):

Log in to System Administration as you did above OR contact Telecom Services of Iowa for directions on how to access ‘System Administration’ from outside the system.

Select Option 3 – “to manually set the mode.”

• When it asks which port to set the mode for, select 0 for all ports.
• Enter mode number – this will be the last digit of the prompt number.

So for instance, in bad weather, call in and change the recorded greeting of prompt #1004 per the directions above. Then change the mode to “4” in this case as that is the weather mode.
